Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

Feb 25, 2020 5:30pm

All are invited to the annual St. Stephen’s Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper Potluck on February 25 at 5:30 p.m. in Miller Hall. Yes, it's really early this year.!

As in years past, the men of the parish will prepare and serve delicious pancakes for all. It’s a potluck, so everyone needs to bring something good to go with pancakes: eggs, meats, fruits, salads, desserts. Be creative and surprise us! We’ll have coffee/tea, juice and soft drinks. If you’d like a glass of wine to help celebrate Mardi Gras, bring some to share!

And because it's Mardi Gras, we invite all to come in a costume of their choice and bring your Mardi Gras beads, if you have them.

Men of the parish – of all ages! Please plan to arrive at the church by 4:30 p.m. to begin the pancake preparation. We will supply batter mix, butter, syrup and jam. Start practicing your best flipping technique now!

By popular demand, we will also have our annual Poetry Slam to see which group concocts the most creative poem using 15 words pulled out of a hat. We may also have a singalong if folks are in the right mood!

Please join us and invite your friends!
