Please join in as we work towards meeting the challenge of supporting our neighborhood school, Olympic View Elementary (OVE). This year, when asked, OVE responded that their current and year-long needs include sweat pants, leggings, and shoes (unisex). Simple and basic, the needs are for children who soil or get wet in some fashion while at school. Parents are not always responsive, which leaves the child wet or soiled at school. Please help.
The goal of SSE is to provide OVE with at least ten sweats/leggings/shoes each month October '21 thru May '22. We ask that each family able, to provide one sweat or legging, and one pair of shoes each month over that time period and place them in the bin marked for OVE. The pant/legging sizes are 5-12 (small-medium-large). The shoe sizes are 10-12-13 (little kids) and 1-7 (bigger kids).
There will be handouts and commitment forms for this project at church for the next three Sundays. You will also find the form and more information by
clicking here. The OVE collection bin will be in the lobby throughout the school year, with items being collected for each month on the last Sunday of the month.
